Prophy Trap = Burnout

Just three short months ago I started working with a VERY busy and growing practice near Nashville, TN. They admitted that they were truly caught in a “prophy trap” and didn’t know how to get out. While they weren’t neglecting their patients, they found themselves shortening prophy appointments to FIT more people into the schedule. This created the perfect storm for falling into that trap. They didn’t have the time they needed to diagnose and treat periodontal disease. With an open mind, the addition of another hygiene day and allowing 60 minutes per adult prophy, they QUICKLY changed the whole dynamics of production and, more importantly, the health of their patients and team burnout!

If you feel “STUCK” in a prophy trap and have team burnout, please reach out to me. I would love to help.

Taking the patient’s blood pressure during recall and perio maintenance visits is an incredible value added service.

Most patients see you more frequently than they do their Primary Care Physician (PCP). In fact, statistics show that 9 out of 10 patients have no PCP listed on their health history forms.
