Nearly every dentist we’ve ever worked with has asked ‘How do I motivate my hygienists to tee-up more treatment for me-BEFORE I come in for the exam?’ This is really a leadership conversation and in this short video I will give you the first step to increasing your clinical team’s willingness to pre-diagnosis treatment for you.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a hands on ultrasonics training with a 4 hygienist team in Florida. Before I arrived, the office manager called to share with me that one of the hygienists, Mary, has been practicing dental hygiene for 51 years and is planning to retire in 2 more years.
She continued to say, “Mary the hygienist, is not going to use an ultrasonic and is not interested in learning anything new because she is on her way to retirement.”
Slightly disappointed, I smiled and said “That’s fine, just as long as she is going to be there for the training.”
Watch this video to see how our training went.
I’ve recently had first hand experience with the use of prescription tray delivery of hydrogen peroxide gel, and I can tell you it worked for my husband, my daughter and son-in-law. All three of these family members were struggling to control their periodontal disease. In all three cases the tipping point was the use of trays.
Join special guest Tanya Dunlap and myself on our next Hygiene Profits Mastermind Webinar as we learn more about prescription tray delivery. I promise you will be intrigued!
Prescription Tray Delivery to Fight Gingival Infections
with special guest
Patients with periodontal disease struggle to achieve and/or maintain disease remission. Research shows that the delivery of a low concentration hydrogen peroxide gel deep into periodontal pockets combined with Perio Therapy (SRP) leads to greater pocket depth and bleeding reductions than SRP alone. 100% of patients surveyed said they would recommend this treatment to others.
During this webinar you will learn:
the benefits and limitations of antimicrobial and mechanical therapies for biofilm control.
how and why antimicrobials with oxidative/reduction reactions effectively manage biofilms.
how to incorporate localized antibiofilm therapies into existing treatment plans.
how to help preserve the health of your implant, cosmetic, and restorative cases.
