Happy 4th of July

I’m so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy here in the US. I can’t even begin to name them all but one of them is the freedom to work and serve our industry in our own unique way. And even more, I enjoy the freedom to relax and celebrate the nature this beautiful country has to offer. I’ll be spending some time in the woods this weekend with these two and my husband Matt.

On behalf of the entire Inspired Team, I’d like to wish all our US friends a Happy July 4th with family and friends. And if you’re outside the US, I wish you ALL the freedom in the world to dream and live as big as you desire!

[Quick Video Tip] Special Announcement

In this week’s super quick video, I share a special announcement. I’ve been sharing this news as I’ve been speaking across the country recently and everyone has been very excited.

As this code comes into use, there will be a ton of questions. The ADA has answered some of them quite well as you’ll see when you click on the link below the video.

More questions will come and we’ll certainly share our thoughts and experiences along with those of our colleagues who are experts in the area of coding.

My initial caution for you is to stay diligent and aware that this code NOT become a substitute for properly moving patients with active periodontal disease into scaling & root planing therapy.

Tip: This video would be a great way to open up the discussion with your team about how you’re currently treating gingivitis and how this code will open up opportunities for you and for your patients in the future.

Connecting the Dots with our Imaging

A few weeks ago I did a video tip on connecting the dots for our patients when updating their health history. Today’s video tip is how to best utilize our imaging for improved patient acceptance. Before we go in to coach our private clients, we do a virtual chart audit. Many times that audit reveals inadequate imaging. Radiographs that don’t show all levels of bone and a few video images of cracked or decayed teeth with restorative needs but no images of soft tissue and hygiene conditions. VERY rarely are there post images showcasing the great work done by all involved, patient, doctor and hygienist. These “after” images remind the patient that their investment of time and money was well worth it!

Watch my video tip on some simple but effective ways to connect the dots through imaging and gain improved patient acceptance of treatment!
